I'm finally an idiot!

Some cool news to share! I haven't been able to post for a few days because I've been busy working on a job for a client who I have dreamed about working with for years . . . well since I was eleven to be accurate. So . . . I am happy to announce that I am working on my first humorous painting for MAD magazine, a two page spread! I believe it will be published in issue #480, so keep your eye out for it, I'll post it here as soon as I have permission to do so.

Wow, you're quite the amazing talent. Thanks for popping into my blog, and for your nice comments. I'm going to be posting a link from my site to yours.

I went on to read about the stray bullets that found their way into your studio. Really scary.

Jason - first time to your site and blog and I gotta tell you how cool your blend of fine-arts painting and caricature is... I mean, I'm thinking Pyle and the like with the sense of atmosphere. looking forward to seeing more, and congratulations on the Mad gig. I can imagine how exciting that must be.

Good luck!

Somehow...I just don't think this is going to go over right in my social circles. Folks asking, "so, how's your son in Chicago doing?"

and my response, "well...he's an idiot!"

haha...congrads Jason...work hard, continue to believe, reach a bit beyond every time...and good things will continue to happen. I'm never surprised when I hear of it...but always proud.

Awesome Jason - congrats! I can't wait to see the illustration. And hey, these newspaper guys actually did a decent job of comping that cover. How about that.

Hi, Jason...fantastic work as always...seems that we have caricaturized the same person...Isn't he poet Simon Perchik?...he's really simillar to him...I can show you my caricature of him to see the coincidence is astonishing!

Congratulations!

Hey Jason! Really cool news! Congrats on the Mad cover, can't wait to see it! This piece came out fantastic. The designer really utilized your art in a way that compliments it and doesn't distract from it.
